Start with obvious keepers
Move tools and equipment you still use to a clearly marked area. Keep family records and valuables away from the work zone.
List large items first
Shelving, old furniture, appliances, exercise equipment, and heavy boxes shape the size of the job. Note anything attached to the building.
Set aside restricted material
Paint, chemicals, oils, batteries, and pressurized containers need separate guidance. Tucson publishes specific Brush and Bulky exclusions; check the current rules and your provider’s list.
Leave a clear path
Make the garage door and driveway accessible if possible. Tell the provider about stairs, narrow gates, or vehicles blocking the load area.
Before you make the request
- Write down the items and quantities.
- Note the full address and access path.
- Set aside anything that may need special handling.
- Ask how the quote and timing are confirmed.
